Supporting a flatback hull during stringer removal

As I stated in the previous post, I got a load rite bunk trailer.

the large rear bunks are in contact completely with hull.  The forward bunks a little.

In one post here someone said the flatbacks did not have a lot of glass and needed support when removing stringers.  When we did the potter hull seacraft we didnt bother, there was so much glass on the hull.

So right now I have taken two sheets of half inch plywood and cut them. We placed them on the rear bunks as follows.  The one in the rear is going transversely just immediately in front of the transom.  we cut 10 inch notch to clear the keel.  We cut 2 by 5 foot piece and put each one longitudinally (fore and aft) on the forward part of the rear stringers.

The rear plywood conformed to the hull save the outer parts.  We were pleased and think this did distribute the weight from the narrow bunks to a larger surface area.

The forward plywood did not bend much but it is in contact as well and also probably distributes the weight.

Does anyone have experience with doing something like this?

I just dont want the hull to oil can when we remove the stringers.
