Fell Marine - wireless kill switch

Just came across this new product from Fell Marine, it is a wireless kill switch. I currently do not have a kill switch on my boat and the older I get I have realized that this is not a good position. If I were to fall out of the boat I'd be in big trouble treading water as my boat motored off into the horizon. The reason I don't have a kill switch is the fact that the current ones are not all that practical and everyone I know never uses them. As soon as I saw the product from Fell Marine I immediately knew that this is something that I need as well as something everyone should have on their boat. There is a retailer located in St. Petersburg, FL and I have been informed that the product should be available in a month. I will be installing one in my boat asap. Everyone should take a look at this product. I can't imagine anyone not wanting one as it could potentially save your life.

Great safety device.

Here is another similar device. http://www.autotether.com  I'm not sure if the clip is an advantage or disadvantage though. I do like that it can support up to four pendants. I'd like to get one to put on Sèamus dog. He loves the water so much I'm afraid he might jump overboard. Of course he went overboard last year like a depth charge!

One feature I'd suggest to the manufacture is a N2K link to your chart plotter that will trigger the MOB function putting a way point on the chart.

Last Friday I was trolling offshore by myself, and I kept thinking how I needed something exactly like this.

I was able to get the kill switch installed and plan on splashing the boat today to test how well it works. Centrop67 let us know your thoughts once you get yours up and going.

I installed mine thus afternoon. No time to splash it... but here's a pic. I removed my temp gauge (wasn't being used since this engine has no temp sender) and moved over two gauges. Once I did that the install was straight forward.

Ran the boat all day Sunday and had no issues at all with the kill switch. Wore the fob on my wrist on a band, never know it was there.  With the instructions provided the install is a straight forward process.
