I've seen just under 4000 hours for a four stroke and I've seen 2600 for a two stroke, the two stroke as an 88 hp Johnson.

I belive the engines that make it to very high hours are the ones that are used on a regular basis. Maintenance is important but using them often is sometimes the best thing for them.

Thanks,
I have a 2012 Mercury 115, I just turned over 700 hours, I like to get an idea on hours before I start thinking about a replacement.
