Tournament Cat 161 Lean Post and T-Top Questions
« on: October 11, 2015, 03:37:41 PM »
Hi:

I'm acquiring parts to upgrade my baby. It has the 2 chairs in it and has the live bait well right behind them. Has anyone put in a leaning post? I've seen pics via  google but they are several years old and I cant get in touch with the owners. I've seen the universal lean post that mounts onto the chair posts but want to find out about them or other options before spending alot of money.

Also, pretty much the same questions about T-tops.

Thanks,
neal

If I remember right Capt Brandon uses, or used to use, a 161 for his chartering - maybe he can help you with some of your questions.  As I said, the boat is pretty rare.  He had a tower setup on his - I saw it when I was down there one time.

Was throwing the interweb @ a search for a lean post and came across this listing.

Came across this on today.

I ended up buying some Al pipe and had it welded onto existing seat post to bring them up so and adult can use them a lean post and then hop into if one wanted to sit down.  Looks like this seller also raised his seats but pics's don't show what base looks like. Pedestal post nice and shiny so must be newer install. Due to deck arrangement and live well cover its a "half round" pedestal base which really limits buying new without some customizing somewhere.
