Identification Help Appreciated
« on: July 01, 2016, 11:42:19 AM »
Good Morning All,
Thank you for letting me into your forum. My name is Ian, I have a friend who is looking at an older Aquasport with a view to buying. It is titled as a 1989, unfortunately the boat had new gelcoat applied and in doing so they completely obscured the HIN.
I wondered if anyone recognizes the particular model and would very much appreciate any comments positive or negative about it.
Many thanks

Looks to me like a 222 CCP.  I think they're counting the added pulpit in the OL.

This is a 222 CCP hull, built in Hialeah Fla.

As to the exact year, it could be an 89. Title is most likely correct.

Here's some specs from 1987.

It appears the anchor pulpit and bow rail is an add on by the PO.

These boats are notorious for having soft floors. Inquiry if the floor has been replaced, if not be sure and remove your shoes and walk round the deck looking for soft spots.
