Hull cleaner

  Anyone with any knowledge of an easy way to clean a hull? Easier I mean.....what to use etc...Thanks for any help!!!

That all depends on what you are trying to clean off of it! Arecwe talking barnacles? Rust/tannic stains? For the latter I've had very good luck with the on-off type cleaner. Be careful with it around your trailer though. It is an acid so it will attack aluminum and galvanized trailers. You wipe it on with a sponge... watch the stains dissappear and then rinse it off. It literally cleans in seconds.

Bruce is right about the metals on the trailer, either wet the trailer down or cover with visqueen. On off will get'er done just caustic. For tannin stains, Rust-Off from Lowes or HD will remove it fast. I use it to get the iron stains from the sprinklers on the house, 30 seconds, gone!

Oxalic acid.

Comes in many products.

Teak cleaner, Rust Aid. You can even buy it in crystal form and brew your own.

I belive On off is actually muriatic acid based much stronger than oxilic acid.
