The Pascoe Method- Stabilizing Fuel Tank

I just dropped my new tank in my 22-2 from Phil over at alloy. I am utilizing the existing factory straps and was wondering how important it is to get these super tight. I used the pascoe method but did not glue the tank to the coffin box. Without a banding tool i cant see how i would get these super tight. The tank fits like a glove and i really dont see it moving much with the weight of the fuel any feedback is appreciated. I also thought about exposing in a few blocks of coosa.

I would recon as snug as possible.  The straps are what will be preventing the tank from elevating when you move through rough seas.

Thanks. I used a 1/16" trowel with the provided roller. Worked out great. It works best if you work in small areas.

Thats a good idea.  I used a large brush and provided roller but it was difficult to get an even texture.  I have some touch ups to do and will try this out.

Is there a way to stabilize a fuel thank that has worked loose from its straps/holders yet is still viable? The 45 gallon poly tank in my 1999 200 Osprey can be moved around a bit when it's been emptied....

Well first I think the options you could have to secure tank solely depend on the access you have to tank.  So how good/bad is the access?

With a plastic tank, you’re options are limited , straps, SS tank hold downs, or some kind of chocks.  Some manufacturers, like Moeller make SS hold downs.  You might look them up.  The thing about plastic tanks, is they expand when filled with fuel, so you can’t do anything that restricts that expansion.
