Alright, what's the trick?

Every time I try to post a pic, I keep getting pixel size limitatations.    I resize, and can never get it low enough.

It's magic. <!-- s:mrgreen: -->:mrgreen:<!-- s:mrgreen: -->

There are a number of postings at or near the top of most forums here that walk you through it. Takes just a little time (and it looks like you managed to get one up).

Remember this point.
If you use the Photo Gallery, it will auto resize your photo for you. This makes things a little easier once you get use to using the Gallery.
Also, when you click on the Photo Gallery, just upload your pics. The Gallery will auto create your own gallery. Don't place them in a specific place (like "Rebuilds in Progress"). That will then allow you to create (if you choose) different folders in which to place your pics. Most members do not have different folders but rather just keep adding to their Gallery (myself included). It's there for "well organized types. <!-- s:mrgreen: --><!-- s:mrgreen: -->

Lastly, you can also use a third party photo host (like Photo Bucket) if you like. I use both and other than a much higher degree of editing abilities (in PB) they both work equally well at placing pics in your posts.

Good luck.

Ok, for the mobile crowd, I replaced the scaled down gallery mobile code with the code used if on a non-mobile device.  What this means for the mobile member it means that you'll see the entire gallery controls that were removed for the mobile version.  It means that you will now have the IMG codes that you can copy and paste into a post.  You'll have to learn how to copy and paste from your mobile device (hold your finger on the spot for a bit) but it works now.
It may overwhelm the phone user's screen (scrolling) but it seems to work fine on my Droid tablet and my iPhone.  I could try to scale it back down if it is a problem but will leave it alone if not.

Works ;) on a droid. Doesn't overwhelm the Samsung and I now can see the entire screen which gives me access to the edit button but....I still have to use the "press and hold" method to copy the link even though I can see both on the right.  That's a droid problem though.

Does it change anything look wise or function that you've noticed on a box?

You only see the "mobile code" when you enter the site via a mobile, so we are not routed that way when using a PC. So all I did was trick it into thinking it is mobile code.  So I guess we can put this to bed now.  On to the next challenge.

What about adding a picture to my signature.  It seems to only post a source to my picture when I drag-and-drop from my desktop or a folder.  Does my picture need to be an imgur or something and then the link posted in my sig?
Thanks, Will

Check to see that your photo link is bracketed by this: [img]

Fake example: [img]http://123.photobucket.com/album/xyz/myboat2.jpeg[img]

Note the [img] bracketing the link to the photo. Also be sure that the photo is sized correctly as show below the signature box:

Max characters: 300; characters remaining: 144
Images in your signature must be no greater than 250x100 pixels
