1980 full electrical rewire
« on: June 15, 2015, 09:01:22 AM »

Been wanting to re do the bird nest of old wires from years of previous owners under the console since I picked her up, this is how it was when I got it.  Got sick of things working sporadically and having to bang on the deck for the bow light to come on. lol!  Finally getting around to it.  So far this is where things are at.

As always any advice is appreciated!  Having trouble finding a replacement for the throttle/shifter box as mine, the screw holes are cracked.

Just wanted to share and see what others are doing.  Thanks!

I like the big pieces of starboard covering the old holes. Where are the gauges? And radio?

LOL  Haven't gotten that far.  Have all new gauges, led lights, radio, hardware etc.  wanted to make sure it all works and that I like the layout before cutting new holes and mounting.  Stripped everything out and started from scratch!

Seemed like forever, but it's pretty much done except the radio cause I haven't decided on which one I want to go with.  So for the time being, the waterproof blue tooth speakers work really well.  I did add new led lights around the console and installed 2 underwater lights, I went with these.  http://www.lumishore.com/about-us/news-events/434-new-smx11-surface-mount-light
