1990 222 ccp switch panel wanted!!!
« on: June 23, 2015, 10:44:25 PM »
Does anyone know if I can get a replacement switch panel for my 90 ccp? Original equipment? I already put a different one on it but I would like to go back to original.

My guess is you won't find an original unless someone is parting with it.

Did it look something like this one (4th pic down in post)?

Good luck.

That will be most likely hard to find.  The original switch panel was mounted in a recessed plastic housing.  They usually didn't last long.  I never liked the recessed switches on mine because they were hard to see.  I would just custom make something if it were mine.  Here is what I did.

This is what I had and most likely what you had.

Here is what I did.

Let me see if I still have the original plastic insert.  You might be able to use it as a mold to make a new one.  I doubt I have it but I will check.

 That is the one.

I like the switch panel you made. I put one in that is similar but it is not sitting flush like yours. Water gets behind there in the rain and makes my lights come on. So I have to make sure my battery switch is off. LOL Need a better design.

I made mine out of starboard.  It is not completely flush so I shot a bead of white silicon around it to seal it.  That has kept it dry.

Chris made his own and it came out like a factory one. Not too hard to do with a fiberglass.
