We have sold about 30 of SEI's lower units. Never had a problem with any of them...it is difficult to sell a 2800$ Merc lower unit with a 1 year warranty when u can buy a 900$ lower with a 3 year no fault warranty....we warrantied one after a guy destroyed it on a crab trap....they sent him a new one no questions asked...this is not to say they are better than an OEM case...but when u can buy 4 of them for the price of one its hard to argue with.

This may be an option for u....http://www.sterndrive.cc/product/Mercury-90-216.html

Hi Aaron,
Do you guy's use SEI gearcases as lower cost replacements? Asian manufactured but so is half of Mercury's line these days. Great warranty though. I was wondering if any of the commercial guys are running them in your neck of the woods? Great price but wanted to know if you are just getting what you pay for.

That's good to hear. As long as they're as good as OEM thats a slam dunk. That's the kind of stuff we need to hear on this forum. Advice from someone in the business! Glad to have you here....
