That appears to be a re-enactment of a story Lewis and Scotty told me a long time ago. Guess the producers couldn't find an Aquasport. :ScrChin:

I've been waiting for it on DVD but You Tube did just fine. :thumright:

First of all - that's a shame with all that room and probably twins ta boot.
I have problems when our boat club has all the slips full. The basin is a small protected area with 16 slips behind a spit of land.  The docks are at an angle favoring the way you enter the basin so it's not bad getting into a slip when most are full. On one side it's a bank of the spit of land and the other it's 16 other boats pulled in bow first.  The ones that make it real tough are the ones that don't pull all the way in (or are longer than the slip) and leave their brackets plus engines hanging out in the small basin behind them cutting off all the turning room. In my 230 I try to back out of a slip and spin it toward the exit and my boat is almost as wide as the basin, from end of dock to spit of land, and with one outboard motor it's really tough.  I have had to push off boats many times trying to turn around.
I have had to ask people to help me manually back out (engine off), especially at night when they are having a party with band so I don't disturb the party,  and turn the boat so I wouldn't have to hassle with jockeying in a very small space.  Then I start the engine and pull out.  With twins, no one has a problem.
So I sympathize with people in a small cramped area having only a single engine, but twins - no excuse.

I can imagine Aaron,
When I used to work for dealers and marinas many years ago. Doctors and Dentists were the worst. These were guys that were very successful in their fields, loads of money. We would sell them a new boat and the concept of raise the throttle lever, squeeze the primer bulb until hard (should be easy) and push in key to choke was like asking them to recite how to convert a fraction into the lowest common denominator (ok maybe not that hard!) I would get the word; Dr. Newfield is here, go start his boat for him! Priceless!
