Aaron,
You would like the Barbour RADIAL PVC rail that I mentioned.

Dead simple to install and holds up well. I should start stocking next month if some of my OEM customers decide to convert.

CB, I have been extremely happy with the rubrail. And Miss D has been used, and although I baby her, she has been side-to in the wind and current several times. The way my dock is, it is perpendicular to the heavy summertime southwest wind. Which means I have to come in under good power, hit the sweet spot, and throw her in full reverse while spinning the wheel. At first I was banging her in there pretty good, so yep, the rail was put to use. But no dings, dents, nothing....although the insert is open-back, it is still pretty darn substantial. I think you will be pleased with it.
Aaron, yes as mentioned it comes in a light buff color. Should look awesome with your cap:

CB, Scotty put me in touch with Barbour Plastics a few months ago and I got a few samples from them. I don't have the pieces in front of me, but IIRC, the shape of the rail matches the concave shape of the hollow back SS insert. In other words, the insert is concave while the rail is convex, so there isnt a hollow space behind the insert. I imagine this helps prevent dents (although I'm sure if you hit a piling hard enough, it'll leave a mark).

Thanks guys
I just watched the vid on the radial rail and that looks like a match made in heaven for a "stand by to crash" skipper like me.
Looks so easy to install a cave man could do it.

Here's another:

If you like their product, they have a Dealer locator on the website.
Good luck.

This is the stuff I used on my 22-2. I think it's Barbour. I've been very happy with it, it fit perfectly and you can't beat the price.
