. . . buy a new hull and put your current motor on it, what would you get?

Ideally I would like to get a hull that is very similar to the Osprey 222 I have now, what is similar to it?

I'm sure that I have some years on the repowered boat I have now but I know in time I'll need a new boat and would like a boat that has a hull just like the 222, any ideas or suggestions?

I was thinking this very thing last night as I rowed in from my mooring. I'm always looking at other boats. I'm 100% satisfied with my 222.

There are 3 boats I'd be interested in if I had the money. In this order:

Regulator - built like champ, rides like a dream. Big money.
Blue Fin - great setup for fishing but all the bells & whistles. Needs twin engines.
Cape Horn - good price, little bells and whistles.

Another Boat?

I think I would go for a vintage Mako - one with a solid fiberglass hull - before they started using foam core.  The older Mako 23 and 25 models are very solid, stable, and seaworthy.

If you wanted to stay with a similar hull to the Aquasport, Gausebuilt, Scheaffer or, Albury are going to be your choices.  Gausebuilt and Scheaffer are very nice.  The Albury is built in the Bahamas no frills with so-so fit and finish, coupled to a Bahamas price.  If I was getting out of Aquasports, I'd get a Whitewater, without question, it would be a Whitewater.

Definetely a 18' BW Outrage or a 20' Mako. Just like the layouts and integrity of those hulls.
