Hello again. I am still having a Fuel Issue with the boat. Below is a picture that I copied from here as it looks identical to mine. My question is about the Fuel Tank Pickup, or the "Elbow" on the tank. I have the same fuel shutoff valve pictured below, not an anti-siphon valve. I took it off to see if there was a clog in the Valve itself and there was not. I poked a straw through the elbow to see if I could find anything in there and I did not notice anything.
Is this elbow a pick up tube? If so, how far does it go into the tank and is there a screen in it? My motor runs fine on the hose, but under pressure in the water it dies after a few minutes of me applying throttle to it. It then keeps dying every time I restart it after. I appreciate any info on this as I am thinking I may have a restriction of flow some where. Next test will be to run her on an external tank to find out for sure. I am just trying to check possibilities off the list before I run it again this weekend. Thanks again for everyone's extensive knowledge on this site. It is always appreciated! Hopefully one day I'll actually be able to help someone else.
What I've done so far and the problem still exist:
New kit (Valve, Gasket, etc.) on the Primer Solenoid
Professionally Rebuilt all 6 Carburetors
Replaced the Priming Bulb and Fuel Line from the Fuel/Water Separator to the Motor
New Fuel/Water Separator
New Fuel Filter
New Spark Plugs
Drained Fuel Tank and added new treated Fuel
Checked all Fuel Lines and connections from the Separator to the Vent (They are "A1" Rated for Ethanol Fuel)
Next will be running her on an external tank...
