Transom angle on 1986 222?
« on: May 30, 2014, 09:21:02 AM »
Hey guys,

As I haven't been able to find a pre-made one that I like, I'm having a swim platform (with a telescoping undermount ladder) custom-made (aluminum) for my '86 222 and wondering if anyone out there knows what the transom angle is on these boats.

I've read up on how to measure it (with a T-square) but problem is that I'm in Fort Lauderdale and my boat is in Pine Island FL and I need to get this project going for the summer before I am reunited with her on July 4th.

I am thinking about having it made by Armstrong or D&B Marine, bit would welcome any suggestions on a vendor for this as well. Any advice based upon other member's knowledge of the transacom angle or experience with this subject would be appreciated. Thanks!

Well I kicked it around for awhile but no luck yet. We know a CCP is about 15 degrees but I haven't found a measurement for an Osprey. Hopefully someone can measure theirs and get back to you.

Good luck.
