I'd say that someone removed the tackle center for some reason and put that starboard cover and put that rod holder in it's place. Maybe they wanted more room inside the console.

OK,

The "D" must be a 175 model.
Here is the photo, FWIW:

OUA indicates a Hialeah built hull. This may have been finished out on the west coast but the hull was built on the east side.

I'm guessing the "D" is for the 175 model.
The 1176 is a serial/manufacturer number.
The "K" indicates it was built in November and the 9 tells us (again a strong guess) in 1989.
The 90 of course indicates the model year.

It looks exactly like my 1989 except the paint job on the hull is different, I think that's because yours is a "Striper" model and mine is an Osprey.  That's the only difference I see.  The forward hatch is NOT aftermarket, it's stock.  Same exact as mine.  Tackle center was also not modified, mine didn't have one either.  Let me know if you have any other questions, I'm going on my 3rd season with the boat and can't say enough good about it.

Interesting.

As1990's hull is like mine in relation to the paint scheme. I would think it was built on the west coast rather than Hialeah like yours. Also, the Striper option was supposed to come with the tackle center but at that time (90) there was some major chance occurring with the brand, so it's hard to say really what it was supposed to be. The 1990 models are not well represented and as such, we know little about them.

CT, can you provide a photo of your CG capacity plate?

I'd like to see a inside pic of the port side console wall.  I'll be there is a cut out in the fiberglass for the tackle center.
