Windshield wiper shaft size

Hey Guys hows it going?
Does anybody know the shaft size of the windshield motor on my 25' WA 1985.
I see they come in 1 1/2 " and 2 1/2 " sizes. I don't think my windshield is anymore than
an inch thick, the frame that is.
My boat is all buttoned up and I can't get near it with all the snow.
Just trying to get parts ready for spring.

Where is it mounted?
Mine (a 91) is mounted in the cabin and exits through the roof. Don't know the length but 2 1/2" seems kind of long even for the cabin.

I'll take a look this weekend.

Hey Capt Bob thanks for the reply,it's mounted at the top of the windshield frame from the inside out,I actually have 2 ,the previous owner
was a shoe maker as they say,now as the weather warms up I will uncover and and take one out to measure.

Sorry for the delay. It is indeed 2-1/2" shaft length.
I have an AFI brand but again, it is mounted in the cabin and not up on the windshield. Those may very well be 1-1/2". Please post what you find.

Hers an update, I took out the old wipers and measured the shaft, it's 2 1/2 " , I could have gotten away with 1 1/2, but ordered a set of Ongaro's, came complete with wiper and adjustable blade.
$80 ea. 3 yr warranty.
