Blocking up a hull ???

OK.....hate to be thick, but have been reviewing the beautiful rebuild threads and I am wondering how they got hulls from trailer to blocks. Have been fishing for a good running boat, but must confess the plan of rebuilding a moldy oldie at some point is spinning in my poor brain. (guess my screen name sums up my condition :wink: )
Any good explanations of how to get a hull both onto, and off, a trailer without damage would be most appreciated. I suspect there must be more than one way to skin a cat ......what has worked well for you?

what i diwas back the trailer into the back yard, lower the tongue all the way down, place stack of blocks under the rear of the boat, use the trailer jack to lift the boat up, put another jack under the bow and slowly pulling the trailer out from under the boat, theres a few different ways to skin the cat...
after i had the boat off the trailer i lowered the stern really low so its easier to climb in and out and left the bow somewhat high so water will drain...

I back up to a stout tree, couple of hefty ropes through the stern eyes around the tree, jack up the transom at the keel to get the hull off the bunks.  Block her at the chines, then start pulling forward to where I want to block her fwd of midships.  Remember, a good 75% of a boats weight is from the console aft, so I'll block her about 3' fwd of the console.  Jack up the keel again, block the keel, and yank the trailer out.
