Are 2002 Mercury 115ELPTO SW Smartcraft Compatible?

Looking at new gauges are 02 115ELPTO SW Smartcraft Compatible? If not what sort of gagues/controls would you all suggest? They are twins.

Then call Merc or a Merc dealer, S/N's at the ready.  You need to hear from Merc that your motors are compatable, not from us... :thumright:

Ok, these motors are not compatible because they are carbs as opposed to fuel injected according to mercury.

Are you sure these are Opti's? They did also make inline 4 cyl 115's carbed engines that same year. OPti's are DFI engines without conventional carburetion.

Correct Farley.  Carbed motors would simply be Saltwater series motors...

Sooooo...

Keysguy, Are your engines V6 115 opti's or I4 115 Saltwater Series? Very different engines.

I was under the impression they were optis, but I guess not..  the cowlings had opti stickers on them for a while.

1 peak under the cowling will answer that.  See a VST, a fuel rail, and a V block...but I don't think he's gonna see that... :wink:
