Yes, his name is Eric R___. He is a mechanical engineer here in town. His boat is four slips north of where I kept a boat a few years back.
Just spoke with him. His shallow water drive system was patented exactly when the boatbuilding industry tanked. He still holds the patent, but no offers to purchase at present.
