Can't get sink to drain in cuddy
« on: August 08, 2013, 04:16:08 PM »
I have a 26 ft Aquasport tournament. I just bought it a few weeks ago. The sink was winterized with pink antifreeze. The sink won't drain is there a shut off valve somewhere stopping it from draining? Thanks.

Welcome aboard D - so, we can assume that you have an Explorer. Year?
What does the emblems say on the side of your helm area - 250 Explorer? 245 Explorer?  Pics would help too.
Have plenty of help here, just need to know the model.
I think that your sink drain goes out the side of the boat, no way to lift it out ? or is there a pie plate on the side of the sink area?  On my Explorer I have the storage option instead of the sink.

I got it to work it was clogged. I filled tank with fresh water and was pumping it when it stopped. I think it blew a fuse. Does anyone know where the fuse for that would be located. Thanks

It is a 1999 but the stickers where it would say explorer are gone. I had a 21.5 explorer but just upgraded to a bigger boat. Not sure how to post a pic I just joined today.

Your pump has a pressure switch on the bottom.  When the fresh water system (hereafter called FW) is pressurized and there are no leaks, the pressure switch cuts the pump off until there is further demand.  You didn't blow a fuse or trip a breaker.

Turn the FW pump on.  Open the faucet.  The pump should run.  If not, you have a blocked line, so the system is pressurized.  I'd start getting under the sink, pull the blue water line off, then repeat the same procedure.

To take the water line out of the fitting, pull back on the end of the fitting (the collar), at the same time pull the water line out of the fitting...

Yes.  Sitting overnight from when I last posted, the system has probably lost a little bit of pressure, so the pump should come on momentarily...

I figured it out. I have a explorer 250. Above the switches are breakers. The accy breaker had popped and needed to be reset. It is now working. Thanks.
