Here is some tips from the manufacturer..  Not sure if you have looked here or not, hope it helps.

That adhesive is some mean chit so you only have one chance for placement when the backing is pulled off.

installed one on my 79 last summer. Works as expected - but as mentioned, not forgiving once you peel off the paper from back side. I bent / contoured it to the boat first , then peeled and stuck, then winched boat tight and let it set overnight.
