suggestions on Nav Lights (red, green, & mast) for a 21 CC
« on: June 10, 2013, 10:08:43 PM »
I have a 21 CC 1979 refinished aquasport with a new t-top.  I have a 360 degree mast light which is mounted on the stern but it is an electrical issue when water gets inside of the mounting bracket plus I need to have it mounted at the highest point since I have the t-top now.  I had my last red/green lights mounted on the console but again since the t-top was installed I had to remove them.  Looking for a good brand and decent price.  any suggestions?  Also why I'm at it I wanted to purchase spreaders as well I was looking at TH Marine LED Super Spreader Lights 129 each.  I wanted some feedback before I go and spend the $$$

Consider mounting your LED running lights port and starboard on each side of the T-Top "Top". Keeps the foredeck clear of obstruction.

LED Spreader lights:

A  gent by the name of Scarab Chris sells a quality LED spreader and other LED products at a fraction of the cost of the big names.

Everyone here has been pleased with his product, service, and delivery.

LEDs all the way mostly because they barely draw any voltage and are much brighter. One word of caution with the running lights if you mount them on the T top make sure you place them at night. If they are placed to close to the edge of the top they will  light up and reflect off the deck and mess with your night vision.

I've wanted to put them on the t-top from the begining but couldn't really find any that mount on the top. Any recomendations?  Whats the deal with Scarab Chris?  does he have a website?  www.coastalnightlights.com?

Yes, that is Chris's website.

You'll need to weld on some mounts, or use starboard to make mounts for the nav lights
