Do you think you could have taped the entire floor first, then drilled through the tape so you didn't have to tape around all those holes? Wonder if it would have torn up the edges too much? Taping around all those holes would have driven me nuts.

Yes that would have worked, didn't think about it until after I had them drilled. Doing it that way it might have contaminated the edges of the holes with fiberglass and wood dust. Hmmmm, maybe next time! It is solid as a rock so that is all I care about!

I almost had myself talked into doing this next fall; now, this repair job is what I'm going to try. Even if it works half as good as it did for slvrlng, it is sure to add at least a few more years fishing time before the complete gut job....
