Pics of Armstrong type bracket on open transom 222?
« on: May 13, 2013, 01:50:00 PM »
I'm sure this has been discussed before but I can't find the info I'm looking for in my searches, sorry if its a repeat.
Anyone have pics of an Armstrong outboard bracket on an open transom 222?
Will it fit or only on a closed transom? The bolt holes won't be too high or weak on the stock shaped transom?
I rebuilt my transom with the open style but now thinking an extended outboard bracket with a platform will be way better for getting in and out of the boat for spearfishing.
Anyone use A&J Marine brackets?

Do Armstrong type brackets really add performance to the overall ride of a 222?
