I personally wouldn't punch any holes in the deck.  The whole idea of Aquasports self bailing decks is to keep all the water out of the bilge.  Any holes in the aft deck near the splash well is a easy path for water to get in the bilge...  not matter how you well seal it up!

Took your advice, Wing.  Ended up just running it towards the motor.  I had a spare length of gas line that I ran it through just to give the hose some extra protection.

2 1/2" nipples and 90's got me just through the transom so the 90's aren't sticking way out:

I'll get it all tucked in and cable tied up:

Starboard side:

Then on to HPU mounting location.

Before:

After:

The lines run right along with the rest of the rigging, just under the throttle control mounting location and directly into the HPU.  I can still lift it out of its cradle and lower it so I can fill it.  It is mounted to the backside of the v-berth "tub" in the cabin with a piece of plywood to screw into and give it some rigidity.  Kind of half ass but really my only option and it ended up working out great with where the hoses end up coming along with the rigging.

Got it wired, bled and everything works great!  The only problem is a couple of seconds of running the pump with the tabs bottomed out trips the breaker switch I have mounted at the battery so I have to brainstorm that but otherwise I'm good! Thanks again for all the help.  :thumleft:  :thumright:

As I said elsewhere Dan, 20A fuse or breaker is needed for Bennett tabs... :thumright:

20, ok thanks I gotta look into that.  It's just a Carling breaker switch at the positive side of the battery. There aren't any markings on it so I have to find out what size it is.

I used Boatlife life calk in case it needed to come off again, which it did.  I installed the entire Bennett system on my flats boat about 4 years ago, with the M120s batwings...man those are awesome tabs!  If I recall, I did the 3/4 hole on the outer part of transom to allow the actuator to seat, but did the pipe size on the inside to keep it tight.  My hull is composite though...no wood.

The only problem with my installation was where the hose comes through the transom above the deck.  I didn't want gradual sweeps in the hose as that would have put the hoses a few inches out into no man's land to get hooked, bumped into, stepped on, etc.  So the only way to get it throught the transom and hugging the inside of the stern was with the 90s.  So I came out of the actuators with 2 1/2" brass nipples, through the transom and directly into the 90s, then the hose.  I suppose I could have done the fitting into the actuator, short hose in the transom, the compression 90 to the hose where it came through the transom.  Either way I still had to make the 90 and I liked the brass nipple idea.

I think it looks great!

Did you find out about the breaker?
