1995 Aquasport 175
« on: March 24, 2013, 06:47:10 PM »
Hello

I'm looking at buying my first Aquasport. I'm looking at a 1995 Aquasport 175.

Is this a good bay boat?

Any common problems or issues I should look for when inspecting this boat?

Does the 95 have wood in the build? If so where should I look for soft spots or rot?

Any information I can get on this model is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Will

Hi Will, welcome aboard.
The 170/175 are great near shore boats and are easy to handle single handed, from launching to retrieving.  I love mine and have owned it for 25 yrs. There is wood in the floor and coring of the casting deck and that's about it.

Thanks RickK! Ill make sure to pay close attention to the floors. Im 6ft 290lbs so ill make sure to jump around and check for give in the floor in those areas lol. If i fall thru better to do it before i buy it.

I have an 89 and I love it.  Wood in the transom and Bow ring reinceforceent as well.  With that said, I have about a square foot of basically nonexistent rotted out wood that I scraped out and the floor's still solid under me.  The boat is sturdy
