It was notched for cable run pipes and fuel lines, the boat looked like it was rigged for twins but they only went single.

Stringers are good shape, just one small crack that's an easy fix.

Ran a channel through the stringer for the fuel hoses.

Also blended the cap rail to the added transom. Took pieces from the mold used 1708 and resin/putty to fill and match.

We skim coated the entire transom as well an will fair and sand tomorrow.

You got a better deal than I but still better than paying new...

Fairing the transom

Added a piece to finish off area for deck to go to, added toe kick, and second level shelf is for the cap rear hatches and cubbies to sit on and mold to.  Not to mention its an I beam for the transom, super strong now.

Mocked up the tank. As it sits its 20" from/off the start of the front deck, think its far enough forward to offset portabracket and motor?  May move all the way to where deck starts but want that front floor hatch and don't want to have too much forward weight.

Go a bit more forward...six inches? How far are you to the front of the console?

This will still leave room for a large in-deck compartment between the console and the vertical wall of the casting deck...if you're going back original.

Lot of added weight back there...and the bracket changes the fulcrum.

Like your work!!

For reference...take a second look at some of the closed-transom rebuilds and tank placement. If there was an issue at the end...it was the tank was installed too far rearward, and the changes to cure the low transom/stern waterline were placing more weight forward. Freshwater tanks, batts further forward, etc.

Now is the time to get her like you want her

Like the look of that I-beam  across the transom, looks like it could pull stumps out now :thumright: gran's right about maybe moving the tank a little more forward..she's coming together good though.. :thumright:

Got the stringers ground down and cleaned it out...

I'll bump the tank a bit more forward, also plan to drop livewell between stringers on up and also add hatches down the side.

Right now I just have to figure out how to fit the rigging into the console and over/around he tank. May run a few 2" instead of the usual 3" in the tight space.  Anyone ever run multiple tubes?  Thinking of running a handful so from in the console you know which tube heads where and where the rigging runs to so everything drops right where you need it too ( I.e bilge tube, cable tube, forward and aft tubes for wires, etc)
