After 3 months, a new fuel tank, and a complete rebuild of the motor, and new bottom paint, my 170 finally hit the water
. The ride was everything I thought it would be. Seems to handle well and ride great :!: I have not run it in a chop yet but I feel like it will ride alot better than the 1974 mckee craft tri hull that I sold and replaced it with the 170.
I have noticed on several threads about the self bailing problem with the scuppers. I did install the ping pong ball scuppers from boaters world. I had very little if any water coming in. That was with the boat at idle with 2 adults standing back by the motor. They seem to work alot better than the rubber flaps.
In a week or so I will go ahead and post some pics and set up my photo gallery.
