Just Picked up a 1971 Aquasport 22-2 Flatback i plan on rebuilding here out of Tampa Bay Florida. It was for sale in the classifides section posted on here. The previous owner had already re-done the stringers and transom with Nida Core. Seems to be a solid foundation to get started. Ill be posting pics and keeping up the progress on this thread and i look forward to learning a lot from previous builds, and suggestions form the forum members on here.

Looks like all the hard work is done.  Feel sorry for the original owner, getting that close without a finish...
I guess you will have to put lights in the big holes?  Wonder if they are too big for Nav lights?
Looks like a nice jet in the "shop" :shocked:

Welcome! I agree with Rick that it looks like you have a great foundation to start with.

As for the holes, they are an easy fix. Go to your local big box home store and pick up a sheet of the 1/4" or 1/2" white Styrofoam insulation, it will have foil on one side and a packing tape like film on the other. Cut a piece and conform/tape it to the inside of the hull...viola!  Put your laminate on the outside.

No more holes! :danceSm:

Thanks for the info Carl, ill def look into that...Need to find a starting point and go from there. Looking forward to it...
