Decided to throw some of the stickers on the cowling. WOW!!!! They look amazing. These are 1980 stickers on a 1989 cowling. Nostalgia. I can’t wait for someone to say they didn’t make a 235 in 89. lol. Really nice quality. HUGE shout out to Discontinued Decals for these beauty’s. Despite the age difference I didn’t have to trim them at all.

Nothing too photogenic.
Prepping the cap. Looking to shoot the cap from the rub rail to an inch onto the floor Sunday. The weather is FINALLY cool enough. Peeled all the tape from the floor coats. I had to hot coat the floor last week as it was sticky. My assumption is that this gel coat does not like less than 1% mekp thus why it was still sticky from the summer coats from backing off the mekp to buy time. It was setting almost instantly. Even last week mixing 750ml with 7.5 ml of mekp gave me just enough time to dump and roll. The floor is good now. Hit it with acetone and there was no white on my gloves. Sunday Morning is supposed be like 62 degrees so that should give me the working time to dump gun a cup at a time. The cups fit about 600-700 ml. For now it’s just filling, sanding washing prepping and masking for Sunday morning.

 I am thinking it could be that they bought a hull without a title and created their own "make" using a "home made" type vessel entry. If it really bothers you, I guess you could re-register it as a "home made" with the correct "make".

Thank6. I've found other people with the same issue. Somehow the Alexandria Seaport Foundation has been listed on their registration.

Doesn't make sense. And I've contacted the foundation and they aren't able to find any documentation.

The fact that I've found a few others with the same issue makes me think somebody at the foundation was doing things incorrectly

But I don't know it's the weirdest thing I've ran into in a good while

Didn't put a template on here, as it wouldn't be of much use unless it was printed exactly to scale.  May get around to just adding a dimensioned sketch, if that would be of use to anyone.

Anyway, the OP asked for pictures of the mounting hardware and any manufacturer's info.  Here are a couple pics.  They are made by Perko, and have "Fig. 769" on the handle.  I'm posting here in case anyone else is looking for this info.

Hi group,

Anyone knows where I can find the hardware to attach the back seat on my Osprey 205?

Aquasport Discussion / Re: 1979 222ccp - transom pour method possible?
« Last post by dbiscayne on September 03, 2025, 02:56:29 PM »
I wouldn't trust the poured transom method if you're not doing the whole transom. Will probably be really hard to get a bond between whats left of the existing transom core at the outer edges of the pour, so you'd be left with a strong new section in the middle isolated from the outer areas, but you really need a strong full width transom with a good connection to the sides of the boat and stringers. Otherwise you get a vertical hinge line at the interface between the pour and the existing, I could see the transom failing along that line. Might last a while, or a week?
Also dependent on getting a good bond to the inner and outer skins of the existing transom, lots of difficult prep work to do this method right.
