Title: Leaning post in a dual console
Post by: skyliner4444 on October 06, 2012, 08:59:45 PM
I picked up a single leaning post pretty cheap on CL last weekend. I had to cut the mounting plate and redrill it to get the proper distance from the steering wheel and installed it. Test ran it today in choppy conditions and it was great. High enough to lean against and low enough to sit on. Much more comfortable than the original seat and it gives me a backrest for the livewell seat. I just need to clean it up and and it will be looking like new.

Excellent!  Seen that done on Explorers as well.  Long as the wifey-poo doesn't mind you towering over her...

I like that. Good idea. Now all you need to do is change the rod holders to beer can holders.
