I have a 2001 205 Osprey with a 200hp Johnson O/B. I just started to have an issue with the trim/tilt control on the throttle sticking in the up or down position. I'm sure it is corrosion on the contacts, but I'm not sure if I can replace the switch assembly, clean it or do I need to replace the entire controls. If anyone know where I can find a diagram and parts, it would be greatly appreciated

I use http://www.boats.net for most of my OMC parts b/c their inventory seems to be HUGE and they use parts diagrams for all the different models! Give it a shot. Is your throttle the stock unit that came with your engine/boat? If so, you just need the engine model number to find the parts diagrams.

There you go! And the switch is replacable, if need help with the disassembly of the binnacle, let me know...

If you remove the switch assembly before you purchase a new unit, you may find that it can then be disassembled allowing you to clean the contacts. Won't really know until you look. May save you some coin for another project.
