Wondered if anyone had a little gel coat in Black and Yellow or knew someone who coud spare a few ounces. I had a few spots that needed a little fill and repair, but this past weekend she got a pretty good rash from an exposed screw head on the side of a 52 footer I was tied up to, had the bumpers out, but I guess not paying attention to things, watching the Blues air show etc... by the time I saw it... well you know I was PO'd. So I have white gelcoat, but need a little black and yellow to get the correct color match. Don't really want to spend big bucks on containers of size, when I only need a small amount. Thanks guys..

Marc, will some Hatt off-white work? It is the same color as Parker off-white.

I don't think so Scott, I just looked at that color on the net, looks too far off from white, more to what the older hulls looked like. I just searched for colored gel coats and came up with some gelcoat tinting dyes, at Jamestown Distributors, and not bad pricing, I can get a tube of yellow and black for about 30 bucks delivered, so thats reasonable. I just didn't want to be into a $100 bill for 2 quarts of gelcoat, that I need only a few ounces of, if you know what I mean. I will ask my neighbor, who will be doing the repair about the tinting gel.. Thanks...

Give me a call. 727.452.0031 We have plenty of liquid gel pigments that we can send you for free. Too bad nobody uses old film containers, as that would be the easiest way to send you some yellow and black. It may be easier to send you some brown and yellow, as black is hard to work with in pigment form. A pinhead of black pigment will turn the gel grey very quickly, and it takes a lot to reverse.

Baby food jars work well.
