Title: Fuses
Post by: taylorw13 on July 05, 2012, 09:29:51 AM
Can anyone tell me where the fuse box/block is located on a 99 175 osprey for gauges and switches?

Welcome aboard!!!

Without pics my best guess is they are inside the console. Post some up to confirm!
Is your battery in the console?

Yes my battery is in the console, and I was looking for the fuses the other day and could not find them, I traced the wires and didn't see any fuses

you shouldn't have fuses on the 99 model, it should have small round breakers that pop out when tripped.  They should be located adjacent to the switch for whatever component you are switching.  what problems are you having?

My fish box pump out isn't working, my nav lights not working, trim gauge works sometimes, gas gauge not working, not sure if water temp works, alarm gauge, or volt gauge. My Rpm gauge works and all other switches and lights work.

Taylor,
Keep in mind that the boat's electrical system (pumps, lights, horn, etc.) are separate from the engine's electrical systems (ignition, gauges, trim/tilt, etc.) save for a common ground.  Since you have failures on both sides of the equation, it stands to reason that there is a loose ground somewhere...

Now, the fun part is to try and find it.  I'd start with the batt... :thumright:

Aside from that, what's your problem?     See SeaBob's comment.

Ok so I have figured out my fish box pumpout pump was cracked, and all my gauges and switches are working except for my nav lights and horn. I still think I have a loose ground somewhere because sometimes while out on the boat if I hit a wake my gauges will go out but if I turn the boat off and on they start working again.
