Title: '72 196 with a 115 yamaha 4 stroke. What prop?

I am seeing a lot of 17 on the 196 for 115 2 strokes.  Is anyone running a 4 stroke with a different prop?

You'll likely run the same thing. There's a difference in some 4 strokes vs 2 stroks as far as gear ratio so that will compensate for any lack of bottom end power. Make sure to set that 4 stroke up to as close to 6000 as you can so the holeshot won't suffer.
