Title: LED Question

Hey guys, just bought a few small waterproof LED lights for the bow fishboxes.

Are the LED's ok to wire just like normal bulbs? I recall (from building old honda motorcycles) that LED turn signals would not work. Do I need a resistor or something along those lines?

Any help would be appreciated!

If you bought LEDs rated for 12v you are good to go just like they are.

LEDs do not work for turn signals since they do not draw enough current to trip the flasher.

Thank God we don't need turn signals on boats!!  

Marine LEDs, you wire just like a regular incandescent.  The older LEDs used external drivers, now the new stuff has either gotten rid of the need for drivers, or the drivers are built into the light...

You just have to buy an electronic flasher to replace the heat operated flasher.
