I am looking to buy a gauge panel for a 1998 osprey 175. I have already contacted "The Marine Connection" they do not have the panel seems like it's the only one they don't have. They did tell me that they purchased a lot of the Aquasport liquidation inventory, so there has to be other companies/people that purchacsed liquidation inventory too. Does anyone know of anyone else that may have a gauge panel for a 1998 opsrey 175.
Thank you for all your help.

IIRC, the 175 and 200 Ospreys of that vintage used the same panel...
-
I'd be interested in a new panel for my 175 too. Please let us know if you are fortunate to find a source (and if they have more than one!).

I am in the process of having a company replicate as best as possible my panel on a 200 Osprey. I should get it back the end of the week. If you want to hold off, as soon as I get it, I'll post pictures for your review.

Just so you don't think I forgot about you - I haven't received the panel yet. Just received an email from Scott at Vector Imaging that his mother passed away due to a brain aneurism.
When he gets back from settling his mothers affairs, I guess it will ship.

Wess,
My condolences to Scott and his family. Can anybody have worse luck then him?

I feel bad for Scott.
Wish I had my panel though.

Wes,
Still no panel? Are we perhaps seeing a regression on Scott's part?

Well, I received the panel this morning. Now that I have the panel, I cannot recommend the company I used. Truthfully, the panel looks good but NOT worth the price I paid and NOT worth the aggravation that went with it. I have a hard time dealing with and recommending liars and cheats.
The lies:
- charged me an extra $25 to expedite this so it would be made and shipped on Oct 31st. It wasn't.
- talked on Oct31st and he said it would be shipped on the 1st and I would receive it no later than the 5th. I didn't.
- claimed his mother died - but a week after it should have been shipped. Honestly, the mother's death had nothing to do with my order.
- claimed an employee was supposed to ship it. He forgot that he had told me initially when I placed the order that he was a one man shop.
- spoke on the phone on the 23rd and he claimed it was shipped on the 17th. Post mark is the 23rd
- shipped it to the wrong address - an address that I had never provided him.
I am not going to publicly out the guy - PM if you want the company name.

Hey Wess,
Reminds me of that old song, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!" You're going to have to start an Angie's list for the boating industry and call it the Wess's List. This makes you two for two doesn't it?

If I continue to bring out "the best" in every vendor, I won't have any money left to start up the company - LOL!
Yes, this is two for two! But I believe luck is about to turn, I feel good things in the air!! Not sure why...guess I am day dreaming.

Wess...keep the optimism!
Always remember boys....It is a B.O.A.T.

Wes,
Our "friend" has gone through many a tribulation, as he has been working with the CM members for quite some time...see if I can find a link. http://www.classicmako.com/forum/topic. ... hichpage=1 (http://www.classicmako.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=38546&whichpage=1)
There are many more out there. Sorry I touted his stuff. His work was top-notch, many happy customers. Now, based on your experience, it would seem his product is suffering as well...
