I don't even have my 19-6 back yet, and I'm already thinking about my next little project. I see these awesome boats all decked out and they seen to all be a short in length compared to the current bay boats out. I think I may purchase a totally trashed shell of a 22-2 , cut the entire back end off 4 feet from the transom, and add 8'. It will be the new 30'2. The ultimate bay boat. My dads best friend in pompano, fl takes 60' hats and cut the ends off them and adds length according to the customers requests. When I asked his opinion about it he said no problem, piece of cake and he'd give me pointers and tips. Maybe hang a the new 350 yami off the back. What's everyones thought??

Fish the one you just built for awhile.
What gives on the 19-6?

youll start to run into beam to length proportion issues with something that long. 26ft would probably be as far as id go with it. but if you took 4' off and added 8' wouldnt it be 26'2"? flatback or 12degree?

Yeah, if I was going to lengthen a boat, it wouldn't be a 222, it'd be a Mako or something else more bluewater friendly...
