Has anyone ever installed a thru hull transducer on a 1997 225 Osprey? If so, where did you place it? The SB side aft access door is plenty big enough but the thru hull for the livewell prohibits enough room for a flush mount. The port side spot in the same location along the hull is wide open but can't get sufficient access.
I would appreciate any and all feed back.
Thanks,
ST

sthomas,
First let me welcome you to Classic AS, easily the best owners forum out there, and a whole lot friendlier than many others!
I built your boat once she was decked, so I would say I know her "intimately", and what you want to do is damn near impossible, without somehow being able to open up that port side access. Even removing the door frame and getting the fresh water pump (if you have that option) out of the way won't give you the access to get down to the hull bottom, let alone work effectively to ensure the proper install. Perhaps cutting a hole for an 8" pie on the aft vertical face in the fishbox might be the way to go. Pete here did that for bilge pump access and other reasons, it's worked out for him...
Damn Pete, you're quick!! :thumleft:
