Looking at this 2 battery charger for my 22-2. It currently has 2 starting batteries with a Perko Battery Switch. I have a ton of room under my console. Is this the way to go? Any experience with these? or other suggestions? I am currently running just the engine, bilge pumps and running lights for electrical drawl.
Thanks
Long term goals for the boat: CD/Radio, livewell, GPS/Fishfinder, Basic running and LED interior lights, and possibly a power pole.

I know quite a bit about PM chargers, as when I was at Proline, we switched from Guest to PM because of 3 distinct reasons. First was cost, at least for us as a builder. Second was the fact that the ProSport models are totally waterproof. I tested the model given to me by dropping it in a bucket of water while it was charging for 3 days, never missed a beat. Third, the fact that, if one batt reaches full charge before the other, the ProSport will take the output going to the fully charged batt and direct it to the remaining batt...
So, that being said, go to THT and do a search, you'll find those that love them and those that hate them...

This is the one I bought, and also from this place. Great unit, never had a hick-up, it does all types of batteries, and is a smart charger, so it regulates the charge based on the battery needs. We also have two of these in my shop at NAS Pensacola, in the aircraft SE maintenance shop, all we use are Optima Red Tops, and these chargers do a great job on them. Awesome price too at Batterymart

Bob,Thanks for leaving just enough room to mount the charger and battery combining relay, the 2 of them do a good job keeping my batts ready to go with a minimum of maintainance. :salut:

Bob- Great work on all the wiring jobs- very clean.
I have a rats nest of wires going everywhere in my console... the work never ends.
