Since the revamp of the teleflex web site, all of the technical manuals are gone. Does anyone out there have the technical manual on the install of the temperature gauge? I have been working on the gauges in the boat and the wiring is not making sense. I understand the light power and ground hook-ups, but I am confused on the S and I terminals. I am assuming that the S terminal goes to the sensor and the I goes to the ignition power? Can anyone confirm this for me so I don't blow up a nice set of gauges?
Thanks,
Mike

Mike,
S=Sender
I=Ignition (switched)
G=Ground
Typically the water temp is a tan wire in the engine harness, no stripe...at least on OMC and Merc, go here for Jim Hebert's wondorous desciption of engine color coding...http://continuouswave.com/whaler/refere ... rCode.html (http://continuouswave.com/whaler/reference/wireColorCode.html)
Oh, BTW, that revamp of the website is no faux paus. Teleflex is no longer in the gauge business, that from my TF rep when I was at Proline...

They must be using the auto meter gauges, i saw a press release saying they would continue to supply gauges.
Thanks on the designations though, I wanted to make sure before I hooked them up.

Hi Mike, I am looking for a Teleflex MK27 tachometer for my 22-2 1975 Family Fisherman, can you tell me where you got your gauges? Mine works but the glass is cracked (after only 36 years!). I saw one on eBay used but the outside frame looked in rough shape. Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
PaulR

I'm betting Faria will supply them. Autometer is not in their price league...
