Hey does anyone out there know of a cap mold for the center console? 222 or if there is a company that is reproducing them?

Hey GSMfamily4,

You are looking for the original mold for the console? What is the issue with your current console?

Or are you looking for the gunnel cap mold?

Try Bayside Marine in Tampa. They have a mold for the replacement bow deck and a preformed closed transom mold for 22-2's They may also have a cap mold.

Per Fitz, Bayside. If they don't have one, there are other Aquasport rebuilders in Tampa that may have an original from a junker.

Where are you located?

I am in the same position with my 1978 222. I am converting a family fisherman to a center console. I called Tommy at Hammerhead boat works. He said he can make a cap for about $3K. That is a little more than I wanted to spend, so I am planning on making my own cap. I think hammerhead has a mold.

There is another guy on this site that built his own cap. I am not sure of his name at the moment, but you can search the site.
