Title: Bow mount trolling motor on 1973 19.6
Post by: rccollin on April 10, 2011, 11:34:31 PM
I really need to put a trolling motor on my 19.6, and was wondering if anyone has pics of their bow mount motor? What size is recommended? Any info would help. Thanks

I would not get less than a 24 volt trolling motor on a 19' boat.  Any wind or current will overpower a 12 v. motor.

Agreed.  I run a 12V on mine, and it works OK.  I run with the current and wind, because its easier and because I have to

I have a hand control, but I'd really rather have a foot control, but I guess you can't beat free.  Here's a pic-

If you decide to mount at this location and go with a 24V, you may want to add some structure to the area.  I get some flex at the gunwale with the thrust from the 12V
