Title: Storing 2-stroke help
Post by: jsylvester08 on February 27, 2011, 05:30:05 PM
Hey everyone thanks for the help identifying the Height of my transom. So I finally got a motor and I have it in my truck. I wanted to know if anyone could help me I have it laying on it's side. Will this damage the motor at all? I need to wait a few day for someone to give me a hand to pick it up and get it on the motor stand. Before I put it in the truck it was run through fresh water and given time to drain. The engine is a 1983 evinrude 115. It was rebuilt and has 50 hours on it. If anyone could help or give me some more information I would appreciate it.

I don't think it'll be a problem, you see them laying face down a lot but it's not like there is oil or anything in them.  You got the water out of it.
My $.02

Wont hurt a thing and no VRO! It was the last year before we were "blessed" with that engineering marvel!
