And this was beside me...

Had a big "Nutra-Life" ad across the rear windshield. Company car....
Yes, I'm jealous.

One of my doctors has a two story building with parking underneath. There are three docs, my doc the surgeon, a plastic surgeon, and I don't remember the other. Every time I go there one certain parking space has either a black Bugatti or red Lamborghini. I have yet to ask my doc if it's his.

I need 7...no, I didn't say want, I said NEED!!!
Someday, an '87 BMW 635 CSI modified to M6 specs...black, with black basketweave BBS wheels...around 300 HP with a 6 speed...WOOHOO!!!

The bimmer just does not look fast - but the e-bug and the lambo do!
M-B has a version of the e-class with 560HP - goes like ^&%$ but looks sedate - maybe I'm pimpin' - but if I'm driving a 200 MPH car, I want it to look like a 200 MPH car - not a family cruiser.

And the cops will notice that 200 MPH look as well...
Stealth is cool. When I bought my first Maxima back in '87, she shared the same motor as the 300 ZX. In fact, ran about the same times as a 300. But they would pull a 300 way before they'd pull me...
Under the radar, CJ... :thumright: :thumright:

y'all can keep those 200 mph cars, id rather go 100 on dirt
or should i say off the dirt

I'll take a nice truck any day. I have outgrown the need for speed though.
That Bugatti is the ugliest thing I have seen since a '59 Plymouth. I would probably marry the Lamborghini though.

My brother's friend down in Ft. Pierce has one of those e-class Benz's, he took him for a ride, brother said it was the most impressive production vehicle he has ever been in, for most would be a white knuckle ride if they have never been in anything so powerful.

This was my idea of a fast production automobile. 1990 - 454 cu.in. "Rat" motor. Some called it the first production street rod. Gas was cheap enough (9 mpg in town, 13 highway). I still miss it. At 100k miles it needed serious motor and transmission work so I traded it.

I'm not sure what these butt pirates are doing on my old ride...87 SPG turbo, with boost jacked into the redline. I solt it when the munchkin arrived in 98. I still have dreams about that car...which means I shouldn't have ever let go of it.
But try to keep it running up here in the boonies...even in the city, tough to get a good Saab mechanic...and you need a good one to keep it running right. Finicky shifter, crappy heater mixing valve O ring, all engine driven equipment against the firewall, Girling brakes with zero tolerance for resurfacing, Perellis for the low profile rims. And the ride was harsh...to be expected.
It would cruise at 130mph for hours...if you had the wallet for the lawyer. The single turbo meant its 2L 4cyl was a dog from 0-50, unless you slipped the clutch enough for the boost to grab. From 50-100 it would pin you to the leather.
If I ever do another sporty ride, it would either be a vette or an S2000.

Hugh,
Like your style son.
Good job.
-
Hugh,
Loved those vintage Saabs, '85 or so, but I HATED that wheel style!
Liked these...

Not the fastest ST on the block these days (think BMW and Kawi) but....
When you absolutely, positively just had to get there, in a hurry and with comfort (for a motorcycle).
Certainly not an SR71, more like a Gulfstream 650
Yes, it comes with a license to fly.

Yep, the infamous tuning forks. (Yamaha's Marque)
2006 FJR 1300. Sport Touring style bike.
I really miss riding it any great distance but by spring, I'm hoping my legs will be back.

CB,
You can always put those tuning forks to work on a piano...we had a Yam piano way back when, a Stienway before that...

Well you know the old cliche;
You can tune a piano but you can't tune a fish.
Goodnight Gracie.

Is that pistachio or mint chocolate chip?

Great stuff guys,
And think on this.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that Saint Nicholas soon would be there.
And what to my wondering eyes should appear...but a miniature sleigh, and eight tiny reindeer.
Sounds good...
-
Oh well, wishful thinking. looks like another lump of coal, again.

A little personal history on REO (Mine)...
Was a student at U of I from '78-'80. REO played a concert at Assembly Hall following "You can Tuna Fish...". Attended, awesome concert. Now, Kevin Cronin (lead singer) and Gary Richrath (lead guitarist) are Champaign born and raised. Went to a little bar on Green St. (Panama Reds), close to the Frat house, it was late on a Tues eve, had Calculus 102 the next morn at 8. Well, guess who walks into the bar...Kevin and Gary! Now, there are only about 20 people in the bar, strewn throughout, but everybody know's who they are. Seems they used to hang out there. We all leave them alone, but soon, they get a couple of acoustics from the bar owner, and for the next couple of hours, we are treated to an acoustic version of the concert we just heard! Found out later Kevin and Gary used to do that all the time whenever they played in the hometown...
I will never forget that...
And if you ever need an address, well, "157 Riverside Avenue" will do just fine! The live version, thank you... :thumleft: :thumleft:
BTW, ask me about the Ramones concert...thought the building was going to collapse!

"Golden Country" is THE song, especially off the live album. It was recorded at the Agora ballroom here in Atlanta across the street from the Fox theater. Guess who was on the front row about two feet away from Richrath? Didn't know it was even being recorded until the album came out and we realized you could hear us whistling and yelling during the slightly quieter sections.
