Hoo Yah... Before Lewis starts on the fish tales, let me exager... I mean explain first...
Lewis and his wife and crew show up at the house this morning, and it looks like it is about to bust loose up in the sky. And it did.... just as we were on our way to the boat ramp, it came a pourin. So his bride and friends decided that a few hours touring the National Museum of Naval Aviation at NAS Pensacola would be a good thing. Lewis and I decided the rain would simply wash down all the mud we tracked into my boat while loading it at the house...Off we go... live bait at the buoys, and off to a wreck. Couple of good hits and some smaller fish, grouper, snapper... then... Ooops... what the.... some serious head shakin action... That snapper ate a threadfin the size of your hand... The grin on his face was worth the whole trip. Solid 10 pounder.... just a dammit shame it's not a week later... then back to marina to pick up the ladies and head to the island, great burgers, sausage and cold brewskies. Look at Lewis behind the helm of the Osprey.. he was having a blast.. Great day for all.... just wanted to share. Oh.... and he likes pulling those BIG anchors up... who needs a windlass, when you have a Lewis??

Nice dinner there. You can always tell it's a snapper with that head shaking.

Wow what an absolutely perfect day!
Yep, that fish really pulled and had me bowed up!
What an awesome time with new friends that I can't thank enough!
So here are some of my pics and a video I shot on the way back in with following seas.
Thank you, thank you, thank you Marc!
The girls just watched the video and all of them said they were glad they didn't go out.
Ya gotta love the internet!

Damn, you can't beat that with a stick! Beautiful snapper, Lewis, like Marc said, a week later and you could have fed the whole family!
Marc, the boat looks beautiful, kind of like her with no graphics...nice, clean look. I have to admit, on a day like that, on the way back in after a long day, I used to sit on the lift up console seat, stretch my legs out on the foredeck, and she'd rock me to sleep in about 5 minutes...LOVE MY OSPREYS!!!

Good thing we hit it yesterday, today is a washout, after the rain cleared yesterday, the weather was great, and the temp has come down a few degrees. Thanks for the comments on the boat Bob, yes, I like her more everytime I take her out for a run.
