I was watching Ship Shape TV today... Went to a sponsors website only to find a video of a 20' Aquasport being wrongfully abused! Check out the beginning of the video here: https://www.thesnapperstore.com/index.php (https://www.thesnapperstore.com/index.php)

I have been trailering my 200 Osprey since i got it in 94' sometimes hitting the ramps 3-5 times a week and NEVER had the boat slide off the trailer. I would guess that if the bunks were not covered in some sort of oil that boat in the video would have stayed on till it hit the water also. Just my opinion.

Ya gotta make it look good for the folks watching on TV...

Put Slik-Sticks on your bunks and the boat will slide right off!
I actually was in a boat that came off the trailer on a steep ramp on Lake Marion, SC. We usually unhooked the winch, my buddy would back the boat down, I would start the engine and back off, then he would pull the truck out. However... we found our plan was a little flawed on a steep ramp - it was just about like the video, except imagine you were in the boat.
So now I keep the hook on the bow cleat until the boat's in the water, then take it loose and back her off.
Here's a song idea: "Boat's on the ground, boat's on the ground, lookin' like a fool with your boat's on the ground."
