I got all my components for my shore power , just wonder if some can post pics of where the installed the inlet, panels , outlets etc.. also did anyone bond all there thruhull fitings? what did you use to bond them?
-
anyone?

Dave,
When I was there, we never installed shorepower on a 225 or 245/250. Do you want to know my opinion on how to do it? Easy, but I can just run you through the component install, I can't provide you pics... :thumleft:

Bob i would be interested in how to set that up,thanks.

Gentlemen,
I shall have a drawing tomorrow, based on MY opinions on how I would do it...hull inlet on the port side above the sink, keeps the AC runs short in the cabin should you want to place a micro on top of the sink. Remove the b/head behind the sink and the companionway door sill to run a feed to the starboard side to install a duplex outlet. Locate the AC panel in the b/head behind the sink, as well as the galvanic isolator behind the b/head. GFCI's at both outlets...but then you have to ground the 120AC ground to the 12VDC ground bus, which is on the starboard side...
Drawing tomorrow... :salut:

Alright guys, here's a schematic on how to install shorepower on your Explorers...

Remember, use GFCI outlets on both sides, and be sure to tie in the 120VAC ground to the 12VDC ground...
Feel free to parse, dissect, criticize, call me an idiot, or send me a beer!

BTW, if you want it in PDF form, let me know...

Thanks Bob.

where would you mount the power inlet? on portside front or on the rear?
